Glory Cloud is the first in a series of new drawings where Wyatt is going back to his true passion of mark-making and creating something with his hands. Ideas for this series have been percolating for years and he now has the time to cull them from within. This almost imposing figure is the largest drawing Wyatt has done in recent years. The light within the work is soft, yet seemingly vibrates with reality. The detail of the clothing is exceptionally tactile — you can almost feel the buttery worn fabric of his coat. The figure evokes wisdom, and calm, with a hint of sadness behind the eyes.
